"Not as I will, but as YOU will..."

This is what God's been teaching me:

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

God has a plan for our lives if we are His children. A perfect one that isn't our plan. We must trust Him and follow His leading, even if it's not what we had in mind.

Love,
Katie :)

  1. That's a really good thought. Sometimes that extra happiness is something that has to be by faith that He is working things out for our good. We need to be willing to let go our plans for His plan.

  2. Thanks for posting this, Katie! Our infertility was excruciatingly hard and God's plan for us never included healing (although in His abundant lovingkindness He allow one pregnancy that resulted in John and Lissie). However, now I can thank Him that His will has been accomplished in our lives. The adoption of our 10 other children has brought happiness that has been above and beyond anything that our plan would have produced.
    I LOVE you,
    Mrs. Beaver
